A mid 20th century French ‘Barbotine’ Vallauris majolica platter in the shape of a woven and glazed green majolica basket, the handles made in the shape of lemons and lemon tree leaves. Note the wonderful, delicate colours of the glazes. The underside stamped with the maker's mark, "Vallauris". Area of Cannes, South of France, circa 1960.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing very slight wear in keeping with its age. No chips or cracks.
