A French Gilt Brass Lantern

An elegant French Louis XV style gilt brass and glass lantern retaining its original finish, the shaped pediment and uprights decorated with flying eagles, stylised foliate and Rococo motifs. This lantern has been electrified and fitted with three internal lights and fitted with a suitable chain and ceiling cup. Area of Paris, circa 1930.

Condition report: In good and original condition, fully rewired to Australian safety standards using a gold silk electrical cords.
Dimensions: Diameter 37 cm, height 75 cm, overall height including chain 140 cm. Please let us know if you require a specific drop from your ceiling for this light.
