A vintage French Eglomise Mirror

A vintage French Maison Jansen design, circular and scalloped-edge 'Eglomise' mirror with a bronze-gilt framing, the 16 lateral mirrors mirror decorated with fine hand-painted gilt foliate scroll-work and elegantly dressed figures. The decorations on this mirror were hand-painted onto the rear of the glass, prior to the mirror's silvering. Please note the fine quality of the gilt frame. Area of Paris, circa 1960.
