A French Louis XVI period commode of four drawers of fine Neoclassical elegance and excellent proportions, each drawer decorated with gilt brass mouldings which beautifully offset the timber colours. Retaining its original 'Gris Saint Anne' marble top. Over time, the timbers have acquired a nicely-faded warm-brown patination. Area of Paris, circa 1780.
