An extending French Pedestal Dining Table

A mid 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XIV style, solid oak extending dining table fitted with four solid oak extension leaves, standing on a Classical plinth of four scroll-shaped feet, finely carved with haut-relief foliate volutes and mouldings. The timbers retain their original, nicely-burnished and luminous patina. Please note that when not needed at full size, this table closes down to a much smaller, oval top. This is an ideal, and versatile, dining table or boardroom table. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: Complete and in fully restored condition.
Dimensions: Width 146 cm, length fully extended 325 cm, when closed, 146 x 124 cm. This table's length can be adjusted in increments of 50 cm, for each of its 4 leaves. Height 72 cm, leg-room 64 cm.
