A French Louis XV Dinner Set

A French Louis XV style set of glazed ceramic dinner plates comprising 8 plates, 8 soup bowls, 8 dessert plates, one small platter and one large platter. Each plate and each platter with raised and scalloped edges and decorated with bouquets of Summer flowers in delicate colours. The undersides are stamped with the pottery mark of  "Sarreguemines", and with "Agreste", the name of the plates' floral theme. Area of North Eastern France, circa 1920.

This item is currently on display at Ruby Goose Foods, 40 High Street, Trentham, Vic.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing only slight wear in keeping with age and use.
Dimensions: Diameter plates 23 cm, soup bowls 25 cm, dessert plates 20 cm, large platter 45 x 31 cm, smaller platter 27 x 17 cm.
