An elegant 20th century turned and polished pewter magnum Champagne bucket, originally used in French restaurants for chilling several (five or six) bottles of Champagne. The two carrying handles in the shape of horses' heads. Engraved on the front “Louis Roederer”, the label of one of the oldest Champagne producers in the world (founded in 1776). The rear is engraved with the LR monogram. Area of the Reims, France, mid 20th century.
