A large and fine, late 19th century Swiss "Soupière" soup terrine, classically shaped and fitted with elegant scroll handles, the white majolica decorated with whimsical cornflowers. Retaining the original lid decorated with an artichoke shaped knob. Typical work of the pottery of "Vieux Nyon". Area of Canton de Vaud, Switzerland, circa 1880.
