A 19th century French Napoleon III period white-glazed porcelain figure of an "amour", a cherub retrieving a love note from a dove's necklace, in the style of 18th century Parisian sculptor Jean-Baptiste Pigalle (1714 – 1785). The rear of this statuette bears the signature of Pigalle. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
