A fine pair of French Louis XV style walnut Bergere tall-back armchairs, with elegantly shaped back-rests, the top rails decorated with haut-relief carved flower-motifs. The flanks are fitted with double-panelled hand-woven rattan. Designed for comfort, with deep and ample upholstered seats and with separate, plush seat cushions. Standing on elegant, carved and shaped Cabriole legs. Area of Paris, circa 1900.

Condition report: All the the woven cane flanks have just been re-done, with hand-woven cane. The woven can awaits to be stained to blend in with the timber colours. The current tapestry upholstery can be steam cleaned, or changed altogether.
