A Louis XVI Queen size Bed

A 19th century French Louis XVI style finely carved and Trianon-grey painted and upholstered bed, comprising an arched bed head and footer with 'continuous-ribbon' mouldings, and two gadrooned side rails. This bed will take a standard Queen size mattress (which is 152 cm wide) if the full width of the bed is used. The long side rails are presently 190 cm long, and if required, our workshop can sympathetically extend these to the standard Australian 203 cm length. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
