A French Street Lantern

A 19th century French glass-panelled Gasolier lantern of fine quality, the metal with an old and weathered patina. Retaining its original ‘chimney’ and the hand-threaded fixing-bolts. Retaining its original plinth-fitting for attaching the lantern to a wall-mounted bracket or to a lamp post. This lantern can also be ceiling-hung. Area of Paris, circa 1860.

Condition report: In good and original condition. Requiring rewiring to Australian safety standards.
