A French Directoire style gilt tole work and hand-blown glass Chateau lantern, the brass canopy with its ‘chimney’ top is fitted with an internal reflector plate and four catches that enable the lanterns to be opened for cleaning and changing the light bulb. The glass bell is fitted at the bottom with a turned brass finial. Note the trapped air bubbles and the “wobbles” in the hand-blown glass.

Condition report: In excellent condition, fully re-wired to Australian safety standards.

Dimensions: Height 60 cm plus required length of chain.
