A fine, early 20th century French Art Deco period painted and patinated bronze sculpture on a marble plinth depicting an elegant lady and her equally elegant Borzoi dog. Unsigned, attributed to Ugo Cipriani (Florence 1887-Paris 1960), who used the pseudonym "Uriano". This exact sculpture by Cipriani is shown in the “Dictionnaire illustré des sculpteurs animaliers & fondeurs de l’antiquité à nos jours“ by Jean Charles Hachet. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
