An 18th century French Directoire period, solid Carrara marble Classical Medici urn, the two-parts carved with with egg-and-dart motifs, standing on a gadrooned baluster plinth. The centre of the urn is carved out and showing the chisel marks of its construction technique. A drain hole allows excess water to flow out of the urn. Area of Paris, circa 1790.
