A terracotta bust of Alexander Brongniart, the young son of 18th century architect Alexandre-Théodore Brongniart, a copy of the bust by the famous 18th century French sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon 1741-1828, (famous for his designs of the Paris Bourse and the Père Lachaise Cemetery). The bust is signed "Houdon" at the rear. Retaining the original terracotta plinth. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
