An 18th Century Normandy Kitchen Table

An 18th century French farmhouse kitchen table, the solid oak table top beautifully burnished by use and retaining a soft colour, showing markings from kitchen work, standing on chamfered square-section oak legs joined by an 'H' stretcher. The table shows its early construction techniques, including early type of saw cuts and structural joints with wooden peg. Area of the Lower Normandy, circa 1780.
