An 18th century Louis XVI period, French provincial solid elm farmhouse table from the area of Normandy with its typically thick top and large overhangs, the sturdy legs joined by stretchers. The top is made from just three exceptionally thick and well-burnished planks and built with plenty of leg-room under the top. Please note the very good width, the beautiful luminosity and the burnishing of the timbers from long use. Area of the Calvados, Northwestern Normandy, circa 1780.
