A 19th century French Regence style, solid beechwood farmhouse kitchen table, the top with an exceptional 5.5 cm thickness, standing on two X-shaped uprights joined by a sturdy central stretcher rail. This table has a unique character, showing generations of use in a home's kitchen and shows the marks and stains from knife-chopping and marks left on the top from the use of a mincer. The top is very well-burnished and with very luminous timbers. Area of Normandy, circa 1850.
