A 19th century Loire Valley Table

A 19th century French provincial farmhouse dining table of elegant and simple proportions, standing on square-section tapering legs, the wide-planked cherrywood and poplarwood top is very well-burnished and retains a good patination. Please note the wonderfully worn texture of the table top and of the legs. This table will comfortably seat 8 people. Area of the Loire Valley, circa 1840.

Condition report: In excellent and fully restored condition. Please note that at some stage of its life, this table was sympathetically widened to achieve its current 99.5 cm width.
Dimensions: 246 x 99.5 cm, height 77 cm. Height from floor to underside of rails 61 cm.
