An 18th century French Louis XV period, carved solid cherrywood dining table, the four-plank top fitted with bread-ends, standing on elegantly-shaped Cabriole legs. The table has two slide-out, solid chestnut "chopping board" extensions, fitted at each of the table ends. These extensions can also be used as extension leaves, to sit at. A central cutlery drawer retaining its original, fretted brass handle is fitted into one of the long rails. This is a 10 seater table (when closed), and it will sit 14 people when fully extended. Please note the well-burnished and nicely faded patina of this table. Area of Greater Paris (Isle de France), circa 1760.
