A French wine-maker's 'Vigneron' table, designed to be easily transported and stowed away, primarily used for wine-tastings and for wine sales, the top fitted with old gilt-edge calf leather, the solid oak timbers nicely patinated over time. Please note the wide diameter of the top and the lyre-shaped swivel mechanism that allows this table top to tilt vertically. There is ample leg-room under the top. Area of Burgundy, circa 1840.
