A 19th century French solid oak extending dining table, the nicely burnished top standing on sturdy and elegantly turned legs joined by an 'H' stretcher. Two extension leaves of different dimensions are fitted to each of the table ends, which securely attach to the main table, the longer extension leaf standing securely on its own two fold-out legs. The extensions can be used singly, or both, each adding 45 cm and 98 cm of length to an already 245 cm long table. This table will seat up to sixteen with very comfortable spacing for chairs. Please note the excellent width and good leg-room of this table. Area of Normandy, circa 1880
