An elegant French Farmhouse Kitchen Table

A 19th century French Regence style solid beechwood farmhouse kitchen table, the top with an exceptional 5.5 cm thickness, standing on two X-shaped uprights, and joined by a sturdy stretcher. This table has a unique character, showing generational use in a home's kitchen setting and shows marks and stains from preparation knife cuts, spillages and marks left by a once-attached mincer. The top is very well-burnished and with luminous timbers. Area of Normandy, circa 1850.
