An early 19th century English Regency period tilt-top table, the flame mahogany top with a wonderful book-matched grain, decorated with cross-banded edges and with gadrooned mouldings. The moulded, square section pilaster-upright above four 'Klismos' style legs with typical period shaped 'knees', retaining the original lions' paws brass caster wheels. The original locking mechanism for the tilt top is complete and in working order. Please note the excellent colour of the softly faded timbers. Area of London, circa 1820.
