A Loire Valley Farmhouse Table

A 19th century French farmhouse table of Classical proportions, the solid oak top with wide planks and with 'bread-ends' standing on graceful, square-section tapering legs, the shallowness of the long rails and the good overhangs at the ends allowing for comfortable leg-room. The top has subtle markings from generations of wear and tear, the underside showing its early, jointed and pegged construction technique. Please note the excellent patina of the oak timbers.
