A set of sixteen 19th century French crystal Champagne coupes, the elegantly thin crystal bowls decorated with fine waterwheel cut patterns, standing on simple baluster stems. Please note that this set of 16 coupes comes with a seventeenth coupe. As opposed to drinking from Champagne flutes, the coupes (modelled on Marie Antoinette's anatomy), offer up Champagne bubbles, to tickle one's nose. Area of Isle de France (greater Paris), circa 1880.
