An early 20th century French repouseed brass and copper 'Harvest' measuring jug of large proportions, the surfaces of the brass showing marks of its hand-beaten 'repoussé' work. This jug was used for measuring quantities of cereals and liquids such as wheat, wine and cider. Please note: this jug is large enough that it could be used as an umbrella stand. Area of Normandy, circa 1920.
