A lot of 4 mid 20th century French finely-woven silvered metal wine bottle-holder, one end fitted with a cradle for the bottle-neck. Normally, the opened bottle sits in this basket at about 45 degrees and is allowed to air. The wine is then gently poured while the bottle rests inside the holder, allowing any sediment to stay on the base of the bottle. Area of Paris, circa 1960.
