A Parisian Louis XV Sofa "A la Reine"

A mid 19th century French Louis XV style finely carved and gilded three-seater Canape "a la Reine" sofa of understated elegance, decorated with haut-relief carved floral and foliate motifs. Note the gracefulness of the curved legs and structural elements, and the high quality of the carved mouldings and decorations. Retaining the original, slightly worn gilt finish. Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In good and unrestored condition. The gilding worn in parts. The sofa is presentable with worn surfaces, although these could be touched-up in our workshop, if required.
Dimensions: 163 x 70 cm, height of back rest 103 cm.
