A pair of mid 19th century Italian, carved solid beechwood 'sgabelli' stools, the shaped and tapestry upholstered seats above four wonderfully curved and intertwined legs. Each of the legs is decorated with a large haut-relief carved foliate motif. Area of Veneto, circa 1860.
