An early 19th century French Napoleonic Empire period flame mahogany bed, the Neoclassical bed frame decorated with pilasters fitted with finely cast, chased and gilt brass capitols and plinths. Retaining the original caster wheels. Please note: this bed will make an excellent 'alcove' day bed/ divan. Area of Paris, circa 1810.

Condition report: Complete and in good, as found condition. Requiring cleaning, small touch-ups, repolishing. On request, our workshop is able to supply a suitable bed base, a mattress and some 'roller' cushions to fit this bed.
