A set of 19th century Anglo-French blue and white ironstone (terre de fer) dinner plates decorated with Neoclassical garlands of stylised flowers, paterae and Classical urns. These plates were made by Conyer Bisto in England for the French market. The rear of the plates is stamped by Conyer and also with the trademark of the 19th century Parisian luxury store "Emile Bourgeois", with its address in rue Drouot, Paris. Comprising 8 dinner plates, 8 soup bowls, a serving platter, a salad bol and a sauce boat. England and France, circa 1880.
