A pair of 19th century English glazed ceramic sitting King Charles spaniels, decorated with typical parcel bronze-gilt markings. The underside of the bases with the nr 2, the kiln holes at the backs, showing that these two dogs were made using press moulds. Later Staffordshire figures are made in slip moulds.
