A 19th century patinated plaster copy of Paulina Borghese Bonaparte as a reclining "Venus Victrix", a copy of the original by Italian Neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova (1757-1822) . This plaster miniature was a Grand Tour souvenir, modelled on the original sculpture which is on display in the Galleria Borghese in Rome. Area of Rome, circa 1870.


Condition report: In good and original condition, showing slight surface wear in keeping with its age.
