A 19th century French crystal bowl typical of the manufacturing technique of the glass works of the area of St Louis, decorated on the flanks with hand-held cut patterns made by a water-wheel. The underside showing a waterwheel cut mark, used by the maker to remove the glassblower's pincer mark. Area of Southern France, circa 1870.
