A 19th century, French Louis XV style "Aguière" silvered metal decanter, the blown glass bowl made with internal ribbing, to better air decanted wines. The cast and chased top attached to the oversized foliate motif handle, and with an hinged lid decorated with haut relief stylised flowers and foliate motifs. Please note the very fine craftsmanship of the jeweller. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
