A mid 19th century French Napoleon III period fire-gilt bronze three-light Louis XV style candlestick decorated with finely cast and chased foliate scrolls. Note the wonderful Rococo movement in the branches and the jewellery-like quality of the cast, chased and fire gilt bronze. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition. Needing a clean with warm soapy water and a wax and buff.
Dimensions: Width 27 cm, height 29 cm (plus candles).
