A pair of Clear Blown-Glass Bell Lanterns

A pair of bell-shaped blown-glass 'cloches' made into lanterns. Traditionally used in agriculture to protect delicate plants (such as lettuces and strawberries) from frost, our workshop makes lanterns from these blown glass bells, electrified to Australian safety standards using pale gold-coloured silk electrical cords.  Note the wonderful 'wobbles' and trapped bubbles of the hand-blown glass technique.  These lanterns are fitted with brass chains and ceiling cups which can be adjusted to a required length.
