A Parisian Semainier Tallboy

A late 19th century French Transitional Louis XV / Louis XVI style cross-banded bois-de-rose, gilt brass mounted and 'Breche' marble Semainier tallboy chest of drawers of fine quality. Pieces of furniture fitted with seven drawers were called a 'Semainier', from the French word 'semaine (a week). Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Condition report: In good and un-restored condition. Requiring repairs to some small pieces of veneer, cleaning and polishing. One of the brass feet is presently held with tape.
Dimensions: 77 x 38 cm, height 150 cm.
