An early 19th century French Restauration, Charles X period, carved and gilded wall-mounted Torricelli barometer and thermometer of excellent Neoclassical design, the pediment in the shape of a lyre incorporating the thermometer, above a lower section hexagonal in shape, with an ink-on-paper face well-preserved under glass. Retaining the original hands, and mercury and blown glass mechanism. Area of Paris, circa 1820.
Condition report: Complete and in very good, unrestored condition. The mechanism may require servicing.
