A pair of early 20th century French Art Deco period, cast, chased and verdigris patinated bronze bookends in the shape eagles birds, attached to black marble plinths. Attributed to Max Le Verrier (Paris 1891-1973), a renown French sculptor and a pioneer in the Parisian Art Deco movement. Area of Paris, circa 1930.

Condition report: In good and original condition showing suitable wear for age and use.
