A pair of large and comfortable 19th century, French Napoleon III period, Regence style, carved solid walnut library armchairs decorated with elegantly sweeping arms, standing on shaped 'Os de Mouton’ legs joined by scrolled stretchers. Please note the beautiful sweep of the armrests and the quality of the nicely-burnished, carved decorations. Retaining the original tapestries made specifically for these armchairs, in good condition. Area of Paris, circa 1860.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition, requiring a final wax and buff. The tapestries are usable and may require to be steam cleaned.
