A finely cast and chased brass, two light Parisian quality, Louis XVI style Bouillote lamp with the original adjustable height and painted tole lampshade. This sort of lamp was normally used in France as a desk or library lamp, the light being cast directly onto the reading surface but not in the eyes of the reader. Please note the carrying handle on one side of this lamp. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
