A pair of fine, early 20th century French Louis XVI style carved, painted and parcel gilt Fauteuil armchairs of understated elegance. Retaining their original and nicely worn ivory colour milk paint finish. Three armchairs are covered in burgundy brocade, three armchairs in amber brocade. Note the restrained Classical proportions and the masculine character of these comfortable armchairs. Paris, circa 1930.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing slight wear in keeping with its age. The fabrics mostly in re-usable condition, requiring a steam clean.
