A Louis XV Library Bergere

An outstanding mid 20th century, vintage French Louis XV style carved and ebonised 'Bergere' library armchair of good and comfortable proportions. Note the extra-wide width, the graceful lines and large proportions, and also the whimsical, fretted pediment of the back rest. Paris, circa 1960.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing slight wear in keeping with its age. The fabric and upholstery are in usable condition, after a steam clean. The ebonised surfaces need touch ups and polishing to bring this armchairs back to its best.

Dimensions: Width 93 cm, height of back rest 105 cm.
