A fine pair of 19th century French Napoleon II period, Louis XV style, cross-banded tulipwood side tables, the shaped tops, fronts and flanks decorated with very fine floral motif marquetry inlays and stringing, standing on tapering Cabriole legs supporting a shelf, and fitted with gilt brass ‘Sabaud’ feet. Three drawers open in each of the fronts, each retaining its original, jewellery-like drawer pulls. Note the slightly raised edges of the tops, so that things don't roll off them. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
