An elegant, early 20th century French Louis XV style carved beechwood Queen size bed, comprising a bed head, a ‘Corbeille’ footer and the original, carved side rails. The width allows for a full Queen-bed size mattress, the side rails may need to be sympathetically lengthened to accommodate the standard Australian Queen length. The header is fitted with a single layer of finely hand-woven rattan cane, the footer is fitted with a double layer of finely hand-woven rattan cane. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
