A French Louis XVI Bed

An early 20th century French Louis XVI style finely carved, painted and parcel-gilt, upholstered bed, the header and footer with curved top rails decorated with haut-relief carved paterae and fluted pilasters surmounted by finials. This bed will take a standard Australian double size mattress (137 x 188 cm). There is a way to possibly accommodate a Queen size mattress (152 x 203 cm) on this bed.
