A late 19th century French Directoire style, finely carved and painted three seater "Lit de Repos" fitted with finely woven back and flanks. Decorated with carved paterae, fluted pilasters, pine cone finials. Retaining the original milk paint finish in an off white and all woven rattan, in good condition. This Lit de repos will fit a standard single mattress (188 x 92 cm) and could be used as a bed. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
